Radium Inc.
At the turn of the last century radium became a commercial sensation for its glow-in-the-dark properties. Sold on anything from watch dials to Christmas cards, the radioactive nature was alternately ignored & obfuscated by corporate proponents and delighted consumers. This futurism was marketed to & with stylish young women casually known as Radium Girls. They vied for jobs in factories like Athens Georgia's Luminous Processes. This is their tragedy.
